There’s a new boutique in town with a zany name and lots of style…

La Ti Da Boutique has just opened to rave reviews in Royal Palm Plaza, and for owner Kim Porterfield it’s a dream come true. “My dream becomes my reality. I have always wanted to own my own boutique. I love watching the change in a person when he or she steps into the most gorgeous pair of shoes, or slides into the perfect pair of jeans. The smile in the new found personality, the air of confidence that overcomes the person when he or she has found his or her style. I love being the person people trust in helping them find their style and maintaining it,” she says.

Porterfield knows the fashion business well. She earned her bachelor’s degree in fashion design and merchandising and minored in marketing at Drexel University, graduating in June 1998. She then worked in the industry for ten years including a stint with Nicole Miller, one of the labels she now carries in the boutique. She lives in Boca Raton with her husband Adam who it transpires is the key to the boutique’s very memorable name!

THE NAME… “While brainstorming a unique name that had meaning to me, the word La Ti Da surfaced as a characteristic of an Aries. Since my husband and I are both Aries, with the same April 11, birthday, we thought that would be the perfect. It defines some one who is carefree, chic, swanky, blithe, inspirational and sassy, all characteristic of customers who would shop at La Ti Da Boutique.” Porterfield explained.

THE LABELS… You’ll find contemporary dresses, sportswear, denim, handbags, jewelry, shoes, gifts, and even special must-have tennis and golf accessories by: Cosabella, Cynthia Steffe, Lave by Ya Ya, Nicole Miller, Nanette Lepore, Rebecca Taylor, and Trina Turk to name a few. You can find t-shirts Hester and Lizzie, Plain Jane and Troo. Denim lines are AG Jeans, Hudson Denim, Joe’s Jeans and Level 99.
